Andrew Carnell

BSc (Hons) MA CMILT

Based in the heart of the North Island, Kirikiriroa, Andrew Carnell brings two decades of transport planning experience, including 5 years leading the Network Planning and Performance team at Waikato Regional Council, developing the successful Comet and Meteor services.

Andrew holds a master’s degree in Transport Economics from the Institute of Transport Studies at the University of Leeds in the UK. His theoretical training provides an understanding of ridership behaviour, cost analysis, and market trends.

This unique blend of transport planning consultancy experience, theoretical background in transport economics and bus operational expertise means he is uniquely placed to understand the challenges and opportunities facing government, bus operators and communities alike.
